About Us
At Central Physio our ethos is patient-centred first and foremost. We tailor therapies to suit the specific needs and preferences of our clients and work collaboratively with each patient to achieve their goals. We combine evidence-based treatments with specialised training and broad experience to provide our clients with a high quality of care.

Central Physio is a family-operated practice established in 2022. We are centrally located in Orange's CBD within the Fitness Perfection health centre. With access to a wide range of gym equipment and exercise facilities, we are able to optimise your rehabilitation, recovery and/or strength and conditioning program.
Working alongside Made To Move Exercise Physiology allows us to follow our patients through their recovery journey, whether that means getting back to pre-injury status, reducing pain, increasing mobility or reaching health & fitness goals.
Hydrotherapy appointments are undertaken at a pool temperature of 34°C, an ideal therapeutic warmth for chronic pain treatment, osteoarthritis, post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation and disability physiotherapy.
Our practice is easily accessible from the Fitness Perfection rear carpark, with a private entrance, disability access, ample parking and restroom facilities.

Rob Thorburn
Rob completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in 2016. Prior to this, Rob received qualifications in Sports Business & Marketing, first aid, life saving, mental health first aid and CPR.
Whilst working as a wardsman at St. Vincent’s hospital in Darlinghurst, Rob found the relationships he developed with patients particularly rewarding, especially developing a rapport with patients who were in a time of need. It was here he decided to turn his passion for rehabilitation into a career in physiotherapy.
Throughout his physiotherapy career Rob has worked in private practice, gaining experience in treating a wide variety of chronic and acute conditions. Rob has completed further studies in dry needling, Mulligan technique therapy, hydrotherapy, the shoulder complex, the hip complex, osteoarthritis and tendonopathy management.
Rob is very passionate about health and wellbeing and is dedicated to improving the outcomes of his patients. As a keen rugby and waterpolo player, Rob has a special interest in sporting injuries. Throughout his sporting life, Rob has sustained multiple personal injuries. These experiences have piqued his interest in sporting rehabilitation and help to give an insight into how others recover from injury.
Rob spent his childhood lifesaving on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, representative swimming, and playing waterpolo. Rob combines his love of the water and passion for helping others into his hydrotherapy treatment sessions.

When not practising Physio, you can find Rob chasing after his two children, doing cryptic crosswords, cooking, playing touch football, waterpolo and of course seeking out any rugby game that might be on.
